Dear colleagues,
I am pleased to inform you that the Call for nominations of the 2023 edition of the UNESCO-Greece Melina Mercouri International Prize for the Safeguarding and Management of Cultural Landscapes is open until 31 May 2023.
As you may know, the Prize seeks to reward exemplary actions undertaken by individuals, institutions or organizations to safeguard and enhance the world’s outstanding cultural landscapes. The laureate of the 2023 Prize will receive an award of US $30,000.
We would be grateful if you could kindly transmit the information to your relevant networks and would like to note that nomination of sites not currently on the World Heritage List are particularly encouraged.
Online nominations must be submitted to UNESCO in English or French at the following links where additional information about the Prize can also be found:

Le Prix a pour objectif de récompenser des actions exemplaires entreprises par des institutions, des organisations ou des particuliers dans le domaine de la sauvegarde et de la valorisation des paysages culturels remarquables du monde. Le lauréat de l’édition 2023 recevra une somme de 30 000 dollars des États Unis.
Nous vous serions reconnaissants si vous pourriez transmettre l’information à vos réseaux et aimerait noter que les propositions des candidatures ne figurant pas sur la Liste du patrimoine mondial sont particulièrement encouragées.
