Hi All,

Sorry for failing to organize anything last month - I won't bother anyone with excuses, but lets try and kick this off again.

Because we missed last months I'm happy to just re-schedule for the 18th of November, but if anyone wants to move it up etc please feel free to shout out and let me know, and we can all say whether that suits or not - and then perhaps in December we could just have some Christmas/'religious holiday type' drinks... or something.

I'll put my hand up to give a talk this time around, focussing on logging in a distributed environment (without using Splunk) - title TBA.

Anyone else who is interested in sharing something they have learned, are learning (this is really good motivation to learn something or even move up to the expert level in something you already know) please feel free to jump in. If you don't have the time to put slides together etc Santiago Pastorino has made his slide deck on Rails 4 from Argentina Ruby Conf available for re-use, so if you can just learn the topic you're good to go.

Anyways - enough rambling, let me know your thoughts and we can go from there...

Oh and I am working on organising some quieter space, possibly at ANU in the new areas, so fingers crossed something works out there.

Thanks,
Matthew

18th is in the middle of Railscamp which I will be in attendance of, so I won't be able to make this one.

How about the Tuesday afterwards or beforehand?

I would think that meetups are better on the weekdays.

Hmmm yes, it would appear it is Rails Camp on that day - I should have checked that.. :| And the actual date, which is incorrect...

The Tuesday I was thinking of is the 20th, however I'm happy to consider other days as well.

Hi all,

Sorry for the late notice but I'm not going to be able to make it tonight due to work commitments.

On that note however I am planning on putting together two talks I've been thinking about for a while:

- log aggregation and management in a large system
- considering the OWASP top 10 in a rails project

Thoughts? Preferences?
