Call for Talks: Next Meeting - Tuesday June 19th, 7pm

Hi All,

After some discussions with Hugh and looking at venues we have decided that the next CRC meeting will be held at 7pm on Tuesday the 19th of June. These meetings will be held every two months (on the 3rd Tuesday of the month), possibly looking at moving up to a monthly schedule depending on demand.

As this is the first time at the Duxton (the decided upon venue) it would be great if we could please get some numbers as to who will be attending etc - Hugh has kindly put together a quick survey here: http://hughevans.wufoo.com/forms/canberra-ruby/

Also at this time I would like to ask if anyone has a talk they would like to give. Hugh and Tim Reilly (Both of Ice Lab fame) have kind of put their hand up and volunteered to give talks but if anyone has anything they would like to share please feel free to let me know. Talks can be between 15 and 25 minutes, or if you want to give something shorter (such as a lightning-style talk) thats fine too.

Any questions please don't hesitate to ask.

Ahhh yes... Hugh might be able to fix that up when he has time :) The date definitely is for June though :P

I'll be away on the 19th, but I've been thinking about planing to start
working on a concept for a talk about Puppet. Maybe next time.

Hi Ross,

An introduction to Puppet or Chef would be awesome - I can't count the
times I have wanted to use a tool like these and either had a false
start, or not had time to follow through.

I'd also like to hear about Puppet. My shop is pretty invested in Chef, I'm happy to have a chat at the meeting about it, but I don't have a lot of time to put a presentation together.
