Hi CRC,

I am looking for people with an interest in language and/or law who
might be willing to join in on a computer assisted drafting project.
The idea is to produce something which will be useful to contract
managers, technical writers, etc. in putting together documentation
quickly. It should also appeal to small-to-medium sized law firms who
either can't afford a decent precedent system and/or who have been
bitten by unreliable WP-based solutions. Not glamorous, I know, but,
if taken to market-ready and commercialised, it might earn moderately
well (looking at the target users) and, potentially, has some
interesting new angles/tricks up its sleeve (oh yes)...

After a hiatus (caused by another project), there is now a 'proof of
concept' system already up (hurrah!!). At the moment, I am seeking
funding but, if you are interested in a direct piece of the action, we
could look at shares in NewCo, royalties on commercialisation or other
economic benefits in kind as well as/instead of cash (e.g. if you have
return need of my vast practical experience in licensing and licence
issues, contract review, contract management, etc., I'm happy to swap
that/throw it in). Nothing is set in stone, it's very early days
(NewCo yet to be formed), so, if you want to talk, let's talk.

Roles? Depending on your availability, we could do with more than one
person even if only P/T because:-

a) there will need to be somebody willing to step up to the plate on
not only the code but also moving forward with requirements/specs (as
part of a Super Lead Developer role);
b) there is some Javascript sprinkled in which will need to be dealt
with; and,
c) at the moment, there is what might politely be termed a 'basic' UI
(so, anybody with UI design interests also very welcome).

If you are not interested, still tell your friend, your neighbour or
your dog - I don't care about the number of legs, preference for dog
food over coffee, etc. as long as the right skill set and go-get
attitude is there.

If you want to talk, contact me on list in the first instance and I
will get back to you with PM arrangements (maybe with some delay
because of Xmas work rush, shopping, life, etc. - apologies in
advance).

In any event, whether I hear from you or not, all best for the
Holidays,

G.
