I’m on your mailing list and thought I may be able to offer my services to your members who may be looking for someone to look after their dachshunds and home if they go on holidays.

 

I lost my Dachsie about four years ago (after 17 years) and now look after other people’s animals as a house sitter in the Canberra area.

 

I would prefer a minimum of 4-6 weeks, but all offers considered.

 

My details:

 

-          fond of animals and happy to care for your pets, livestock or wildlife;

 

-          qualifications in animal care – wide range of species;

 

-          able to maintain your garden (including delicate plants like African violets);

 

-          Wildcare member experienced in caring for native wildlife;

 

-          full-time Public Servant (with NV2 clearance), and part-time student;

 

-          non smoker;

 

-          clean, tidy, and quiet living;

 

-          will treat your home with respect;

 

-          references available on request.

I was hoping to get some suggestions for potential dog minders for an upcoming holiday in April. We have tried kennels previously, but jasper didn’t fare well through the stay.

Does anyone have recommendations for good dog minders, that they would be happy to pass on?

We have chosen a couple to pet sit Maddie in March this year and they had good recommendations from other pet owners in Canberra. 

We have met up with them twice so far and they are very nice. Maddie likes them. 

I have checked with them - Lara and Daniel- and they’re happy for me to pass on their details.
