trave...@nb.sympatico.ca If a sufficient number of
artists show interest we shall have a separate room for the exhibit
but otherwise shall display them in the same secure room where the
poster session is to be held. We will need a title for the artwork,
price (if for sale), biographical and contact information about the
artist. Arrangements and costs for getting the artwork here shall be
the responsibility of the artist. See additional notes for poster
session in longer text that follows.
The conference dates are September 6-9. The preliminary schedule will
look something like this:
Thursday morning Sept. 6 we will dedicate the Wade-Myles Aviation Park
with a cenotaph and have a "re-affiliation" parade and the granting of
the Freedom of the City to 410 Squadron, RCAF. Concurrent sessions
will begin Thursday afternoon and continue Friday and Saturday. There
will be a lobster meal on Friday night, and a Banquet on Saturday
evening. Saturday and Sunday will also have optional tours. Also on
Sunday we will have the annual memorial service at the former
Pennfield Ridge Air Station.
There will be a poster session room available for members to exhibit
their research in various display formats. This display room will be
open to the public. We will provide a 4x6 foot table for anyone who
wishes to display an aviation subject. The display can be in a paper
or digital format, and include models. We will ask that all who
display ensure that any text is clearly legible, your name and contact
information is clearly shown, and any handouts be of sufficient
quantities for the three days. Further details will be posted on the
CAHS website. The cost of a table will be $25.
This is the preliminary list of topics. We have used some liberty in
making up a topic title.
