Dear ListSibs,
The list has been very silent for some time now. I'm sorry to break the silence with such sad news, but thought you would want to know. May he rest in peace and rise in glory.

Hi, Linda ...
Yes, he is much younger than me, too. We were at Wycliffe College together, I was with him as he was ordained Deacon in Toronto, on behalf of Brandon, and he was my elder daughter's Godfather.
He was most importantly a dear and faithful friend.

I knew he had been unwell, but not to this extent, then his phone calls stopped coming and mine went to his answering machine. This is a note I sent out only last Friday when I heard from one of his friends there who had taken to calling people in Warren's address book.

Dear friends,

I'm not sure if all of you who are receiving this knew Warren Marsh well, but I'm sending this to all those in my address book who I think might have.

Warren is critically ill.

He has been on dialysis in Brandon MB for some time now, and has been in hospital the past few months.

Recently the dialysis ceased having any effect for him and he has been taken off it. He is currently slipping in and out of medicated consciousness.

His friends in Brandon have advised me that they have been told that Warren has perhaps 3 weeks to live.

Please let me know if you wish to receive an update, and please pass this on to any persons you know whom you think should be advised. My list of recipients is short,

All blessings,
Brian

_____________

I remember you well from the CanAng-List, but I had to drop it after a near fatal car accident, and following my recovery from that, my wife was diagnosed with cancer and we battled that for 5 years to the end.

If there is a list going anywhere that you are on and that Warren was still active with, can you let his correspondents there know?

All blessings,
Brian

Linda, I have just learned this news, and I'm not sure how well the information list has been established.

The Rev'd Fr Warren Watson Marsh
✳ 1950-11-30 ~ ✝ 2013-04-10

Our dear and faithful friend Warren passed away at 1830h CDT today at Brandon Regional Health Centre.

Arrangements are in the very early stages, of course, as friends are still being notified.

Blessings!
Brian

Oh, Brian, I am so sorry to hear that! Warren was one of my favorite listsibs -- younger than I, too!

Thanks, Linda.

I met Warren face to face in Winnipeg at General Synod in 2007.
Prayers for his family, friends and diocese.

The Rev. Warren Marsh died peacefully on Wednesday, May 10.
A Requiem Eucharist with interment of ashes in the Cathedral Columbarium
will take place in St. Matthew's Cathedral on Wednesday, May 24, at 11 a.m.,
with Bishop Jim Njegovan and yours truly officiating.
May he rest in peace and rise in glory.

The service had to be delayed due to the scheduled absences of several
people that Warren had requested as participants, as well as the
availability of the parish hall for the reception, again due to
previously-scheduled events that could not be moved.

And I assume his death wasn't also moved to May 10 <g>. I also wanted to
thank Linda for drawing Warren's death to our attention. I knew him only
through his postings to this list, which I valued and enjoyed.
