Talking about design.

Hi All!

Just thinking about some things we could design/build.  I'm curious if at at Alicante you have access to work shops?  Wood working? (saws, drills, CNC, etc?) or Welding?  Also, what materials can you get a hold of?  Textiles(fabrics), metal, wood? 

One material we've been thinking about is using Cardboard tubes from Floor Carpet Stores, they are large and strong plus, you can get them for cheap or even free here which is nice.

Ideas:
Just thinking about relaxing, something that always comes to mine for me is a cottage, and with most cottages, there are hammocks (http://www.interiorwarrior.com/the-hammock-to-relax-in-total-relaxation/).  The last image with the dog, where it has a large square frame is also something I'd be interested in expanding on, just because for me it's a relaxing place.

One thing that I came across is this guy (link below), Taking a similar idea and switching out the plastics for nylon fabrics so the chair would create more a free floating feeling.

If we're able to get a lot of cardboard tubes from the Carpet shops we could work with ideas like this.

I'm just putting these out there for now, and am in no way pushing these as anything but a start, I'd like to have everyone's ideas so we can have a direction of design as to the best response to 'Relax'.
