Manual errors referring to sound? - Could someone check on a real ACE?

Hello,

I'm trying to add sound to the CanAce emulator. This has been a bit of a slow process as I can't seem to match what the manual is saying in implementation. It then dawned on me that the manual might be wrong. On pg 62, chapter 11 of the Jupiter Ace forth programming manual, there is a table of pitches to notes. Could someone confirm on a real ace whether these pitches make sense. The main thing I want to work out is whether you would get a higher frequency for:

    478 500 beep

than:

    956 500 beep


The table says yes, but I think not.

Any help on this would be much appreciated.
