Imperialist Threat

Query:

Won't the State of Canaan be a protruding American imperialist threat
to the whole of the Near and Middle East?

Reply:

It could be – but America is and could be a lot of things: not only a
threat, but its opposite, a great bolster to peaceful relations in the
Arab and surrounding world. Think, for a moment of the alternatives.
If matters go on as at present, there will be a continuous danger of
one, two, three and more wars going on in the region. Shifting and
backing with Israel, the US will be in and out of war after war, never
making up its mind which countries to use as puppets, which to
support, which to oppose, how to make deals with Russia, China,
Turkey, Pakistan and India and a dozen other countries, not to mention
the European nations. Right now, that is to say, we have an American
imperialism in the Region that is a confounded nuisance.

But Canaan State can be turned in all directions, and deal by
diplomatic, economic, educational and every other peaceful and useful
means with the countries within reach. Half the Canaan population will
be tired of the Near East and will exercise its competence on the rest
of the world. The Israel nuclear threat will stand down, and even
disappear, and with this a happy sigh of relief will float up around
the world. The USA, that could reach and strike anywhere in the world
would, as at present, be disinclined to strike anywhere. Israel, by
contrast, appears sorely tempted to strike at one or two countries.
And the world stands in dread of its happening.
