Cub Promise, etc in French

Does anyone have the French language version of the Cub Promise, Law and
Grand Howl that they could either EMail me or post here?
This is for Canadian Heritage Badge requirement 10. (I wonder why the
Motto is not included in the requirement?)

I am not sure how they do the Grand Howl, since "FdTM" is not quite as
pronouncable as "DYB" ;-)
I am embarrassed to say that I have never heard it in French. Sounds like we
need to do a bit of research as well.

One question that stands out in my mind regarding the Grand Howl:
what actions are performed by the Cubs during the Grand Howl - in
English, one Cub leads it and the others respond, there is the crouch,
the salute, etc. Is it possible to get a *script* for this? If my Cubs
are going to learn this, they should learn to do it properly in keeping
with the spirit of the badge requirement.
Gerald Boire has Akela (or another leader) doing a portion of it - might
this be a local custom in the same sense that some packs use a Jungle
theme opening while other packs do not?

Actually Peter, the "youth leader" is the cub leading the grand howl, not
Akela. My apologies for the confusion.
BTW. This is the Grand Howl that is used by a french speaking Pack in
Hamilton. I am told that it is the same one used by packs in Quebec. It
has the same cadence as the English Grand Howl. Not to doubt what Dave
Desmarais has also posted, but I have never heard his version, nor can I
seem to get the cadence it uses.

Hi Gerald,
I came across the Web Site of a French Pack in Quebec using
the same Grand Howl that your Pack uses. Complete with instruction
for each movement used in the Grand Howl.
I take it by "youth leader" you are referring to a sixer and not an
activity leader or Scouter in Training.
I guess next time I am in Montreal I should pick up a new Wolf
Cub handbook in French. Perhaps the memory of this old wolf is fading
as he gets older :)
If that is the case, I will update the translation on our web site.

Just to make things a little more unclear.... I just came across
another web site in Quebec
( http://www.geocities.com/Yosemite/Gorge/1066/32law.html ) posting
the same version of the Grand Howl in French, that we have posted on
our web site . Now I really have to get a French copy of the Hand
Book. I'll keep you posted of my findings.
