Is there a way to send for a fishing license so I don't have to stop? It's
usually in the middle of the night that we do our traveling?

Thanx

Never heard of such a provision. However, try the link & ask them to
contact you with your query. Good luck.

Good luck. You're dealing with the Government, remember. Even if there was a
way, it would no doubt take 8 weeks to have it mailed to you. In Ontairio,
they require you to have your outdoors card with you, before they will give
you a renewal sticker. It's probably a similar scenario. If in Quebec, they
require eye colour, height, etc, as they do here, then I would say most
definately not.

Sorry

Thanks for the link, called them, they thought it was brain surgery and
couldn't conceive of the idea of mailing us licenses...I think I will just
make my own on the computer and send them $25 with no explanation...think
anyone would notice? Can I get a scan of this year's? If I could sell
little pieces of paper for $25, I would make it REAL easy to buy them!

Tom,
Anyone can buy you a Quebec fishing license. It's filled out by hand by
anyone. The buyer only has to sign the portion that stays with the seller
and your copy can be signed by you, later.
But you should have no problem getting a fishing license 24 hours per
day 7 days a week. Most strategically placed convenience stores sell them.
Don't go to downtown Montreal but any large "depanneur" (french for
convenience store) situated in a small town close to the bush sells them.
Also, all Z.E.C.s sell them. If you are going to the Saguenay region, I can
tell you exactly where you can find fishing licenses 24 hours per day.
P.S. when buying your license, make sure the person making out you
license, writes the exact date and hour (just below your address) and that
in the upper right hand corner, the machine prints out the exact code and
date.
