Another rumor states Robert Bourassa died of AIDS-related skin cancer.
Someone I know (that's the way rumors usually goes) knows a doctor who
treated him. That doctor is know to smile silenttly when asked wether or not
it is true.
Now, a question: has anyone heard such rumor?
WHO CARES?

As Iain Bennet so rightly said, Who Cares?
I certainly never heard such a rumour, and it wouldn't interest
or concern me if it were true. It's none of my business.
As to the sort-of evidence from the doctor (via that highly
unreliable source "friend of a friend"; silence is precisely
what the doctor should have done when asked ANY questions about
the health issues of a patient by someone who has no right to
know. It's called doctor-patient confidentiality.

For what it's worth, I have certainly heard this rumour,
and it is fairly widespread in the province of Quebec.
Bourassa's marriage into the wealthy and influential
Simard family had all the trappings of an "arranged
marriage."
Now, if the rumour is true, does it have any consequence?
I can't think of one.
