St John's United Church has proposed an LGBT-Positive Seniors Residence
on Windsor Street at Willow where the church currently is. The project
has generated controversy and media attention in the last few weeks;
objectors have raised questions of building height and land use, and
some people have encountered the false perception that the residences
are for LGBT elders only. City Council has decided to defer approval of
the project until after a public input process can be completed.
There's a public information session on Sunday afternoon; there's full
information here including an architect's sketch and link to Facebook
event for RSVPs:

*** How does one plan to become a senior, Dan? Doesn't it happen plan
or not? (-:

If you can plan to NOT become a senior, it stands to reason that you can
also plan to become one :-)
