Born in Kingston. Went to Lundys Lane in the late 60's.
I remember Red Rock behind Batoche
Deadman's Cove, and the sunken uboat :)
the wharf, visitting the Centennial train downtown, Wolfe Island
Best times were at Fort Henry itself. sledding down in winters, getting stuck
in the moot during the summer.

one of the arms down to the water and piling up a few rocks, then
climbing out. Yes, and we would sled down the fort's slope in the winter,
and swim there at the point in the summer. Red Rock was also a favorite
place to ramble about. From Kingston we were posted to Vancouver Wireless
Station, a secure listening post that was part of the D.E.W. line (
Distant Early Warning).

Actually it wasn't my fault. I was naive. My brother conned me into climbing
in claiming he dropped a quarter (tons of money those days). I climbed down
and he and his friend ran off. He then came back and sweet justice, we both
were stuck for about 3 hours.
As for sledding. He once elbowed me off the back, my glove got stuck and I got
dragged half way down the hill. At the time there was a major ditch near the
bottom. Because of the extra drag (me) he didn't clear the ditch. :)
I like my brother NOW, more than then

My Dad, Bill (Trapper) Mills, was RCEME. He was at the workshop and taught at
the school. We went back for a few months in 65 - 66 while he was on course.
