My dad was there then but had joined the army (he is a brat also) and got
posted there. Any particular age group you are looking for? Dad would have
been late teens/early 20's then.

I was there for a couple of years 1963-65, but I was only a baby, so that
probably doesn't help you much. :-(

Move there in 58...lived on Assiniboine Ave, went to Assiniboine,
St Lawrence Jr High and like Severn started in the new high school
in 65. Graduated in 69. My wife Carol Ward is also from there and
her parents still live there. Mine retired there but both have
passed away and are buried in St Vincent de Paul.

I now have 28 years in the Navy, living in Dartmouth and plan on
retiring in 4-5 years back to Oromocto. Greatest town in the world
(and I've seen most of it). Plan on retiring in 4-5 years back there.
A couple of friends of mine from Oromocto are also living down here in
the Halifax/Dartmouth area. (Rich Schofield and Mike Mason). Also know
where a few more folks are if anybody is looking for someone in
particular.

Hi Danny,
Remember me? We were in school together from Gr 6 to Gr 11. Wow, what
a name from the past. Whatever happened to your sister? The last time
I was in Gagetown she was working on the Base a secretary to a senior
officer at the Combat Arms School.

I lived there on St. John Ave. from 1960 to 1966, and went to Drummond
Drive School from grade 1 to 6. I remember alot as it was a great place! I
moved to Montreal after that.

I guess ther are a few of us old timers from Oromocto using the net. It's
nice to see. It's funny how we who grew up in Oromocto have some great
memories of the place and yet young soldiers who were stationed there have
some horrible ones.

I was one of the lucky ones. I went to school in Oromocto until 1965, and
then joined the army. I was only away for a year and I was stationed back.
It was great because I still had all of my old chums plus I had a job. The
girls didn't shy away from me as a soldier becuse they already new me from
school.

I can remember a number of people that I ahve lost track of over the years,
Mark Bernard, Shawn Whooten, Richard Desmond, Roger Tweedy, The Frasers
(Darryle & Terry), Dawn Cory, Percy Hatfield, Denny Mahaer just to name a
few. I also am still in touch with a few. Rob Clark and his wife Carole (nee
Saulnier). Audrey York and Danny Pierce are here in Calgary although I ahve
yet to bump into them. And there are others.....

I can remember many summer days swimming at the train bridge and jumping
into the Oromocto River, or water skiing on the St. John river....

Have to get back there one of these days......

Anyone from the late 50s/early 60s remember an elementary school music
teacher named Barbara Cunningham, or Barbara Leech?

HI My name is Barb Seelye, I lived there from 1961-62 and then back in 63 till 1971. The only music teacher I remember was the famous Red Haired Miss Ingles. She threw chalk at anyone who was off key, she turned one boy over her knee in class in grade 7. Her hair flew when she was upset or playing the piano. Good times!! lol

Miss Ingles was my music teacher at Gesner in 1964 - yep, one angry woman! I lived across the street from Gesner on McLaren '64-65 Then moved over to Wilmot Circle. There are 6 brats in the Harrison family: Davis (military-retired); Chris (entrepreuneur); Deboraj (occupational thera pist - retired); Me (Pat) landscape architect; Ted - electrician and Amanda (retail retired. Our family spent lots of time at the Oromocto boat club
