Job Description:
The company is seeking a senior and experienced marketing and business development leader, responsible for overall marketing strategy, planning and execution of sales and business development. The VP Marketing and Business Development is a subject matter expert and ?general manager? who architects and builds sales and channel teams to accelerate customer and partner preference and drive sales for the company's enterprise software and healthcare solutions at an executive level through direct sales and channel partners. This executive's key objective will be to develop and manage channel partners such as employee assistance providers, insurance companies, and benefit consultants.
Additional responsibilities include researching and updating competitive knowledge related to sales management; ensuring appropriate competitive positioning and programs for key technology solutions for customers and partners; creating pricing and positioning collateral; planning and executing sales and technical activities such as leading early customer wins and scaling sales nationally.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
? Marketing and business development for the company's corporate, physician and academic market through having a solid understanding of health care, chronic disease prevention market and ability to take a comprehensive approach to developing and achieving market leadership
? Developing pricing matrices and positioning collateral for various customer groups
? Developing and executing sales strategies and plans, solution offers, P&L accountability, sales operations, marketing programs, pipeline development, resource allocation and management, best-practice sharing and community development
? Developing programs to scale sales including partner development and channel sales
? Working in partnership with new hires in sales and channels and with partner leaders to form technology solution offers, drive sales and ensure customer satisfaction from successful implementation of the company's solutions.
? Collaborating with executive team?i.e. to provide feedback against strategies, highlight emerging trends from the field, recommend shifts in strategy or execution
? Aligning with leadership on key priorities
? Developing, coaching and mentoring sales specialists
? Hiring, coaching, motivating and retaining top talent
? Leading and participating in cross-functional teams for strategy and execution
? Providing input and feedback to management on systems and processes that support and motivate sales
? Sales training, marketing aids, communications
Capabilities and Competencies Required:
? More than five years of marketing management experience with proven record of promoting healthcare/technology products and services
? Knowledge of the chronic disease prevention market, technologies and economics
? Knowledge of the overall healthcare industry, employee assistance programs and lifestyle management?i.e. chronic disease prevention, including cardiovascular disease prevention, lifestyle risk management, smoking cessation, weight management, healthy diet, exercise programs and related assessment methodologies, analytics and software/online tools
? Proven ability to work collaboratively with leadership
? Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
? Ability to work cross functionally
? Ability to develop and execute strategic and tactical plans
