Title: Production Manager
Location: Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada
As a key part of our small management team, the successful candidate will be
responsible for all aspects of production in our manufacturing operation
combining several different types of work centers including, but not limited
to: sewing, wood working, metal fabrication, plastic forming, urethane
rubber application and more.
Tasks include scheduling production, purchasing materials, managing
approximately 15 production personnel while working closely with the sales
department and accounting department to ensure that objectives are met.
Developing and implementing improvements to: productivity, cost reduction,
material handling, inventory control as well as participating in overall
company management are all part of the position.
Effective communication and the ability to motivate people while maintaining
a safe and positive work environment is very important.
Recruiting, training and termination of production personnel as required is
under this area of responsibility.
Responsible for month end inventory counts, work-in-progress reports and all
necessary reports for the accounting department.
We are looking for a highly organized, focused individual able to work
towards long-term objectives in parallel with meeting short-term
requirements. The ability to operate within a monthly/annual operating
budget and maximize the return on investment for the company's operations.
A strong general knowledge of processes, machines and manufacturing in
general, is a must. Job shop background would be a strong asset.
