Title: Sales Agronomist
Location: Naicam, Saskatchewan, Canada
Grasslands Group is in search of a Sales Representative / Agronomist for a
leading eastern Saskatchewan seed grower and agribusiness retailer. The
successful candidate will be responsible to create a high level of
professionalism in our sales team while increasing the retail and wholesale
customer service base. The primary focus will be to develop win-win
partnerships with the customers, suppliers, and line companies, while
ensuring maximum profitability to both the dealer and the reseller.
Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
providing information on seed / crop protection to the grower/farmer;
performing field scouting to identify weeds, disease and nutrient
deficiencies; selling custom application services; bringing recommendations
from the growers/farmers to the employer about new products or services
required; increasing seed / crop protection sales through an honest
relationship with the growers; planning and facilitating four Grower
Meetings per year to demonstrate customer appreciation as well as marketing
products and services; and participating in setting up customer service
evaluations.
A Diploma in Agriculture is required, B.S.A. / Science or Business Degree is
preferred for this position, as well as 3 years sales and marketing
experience, strong interpersonal skills, the proven ability to communicate
(listen and negotiate), and demonstrated skills in working with a management
team in the best interests of the organization. This individual must also
possess the ability to accurately identify weeds, disease and nutrient
deficiencies. A background in agriculture, experience on-farm or in a rural
setting would be definite assets. Any certification or designation is an

$38,000.00 - $45,000.00 / year, depending on 'fit', plus variable income
potential of up to 10 % annual salary, Blue Cross benefits package, and
matching RRSP program.
