interventions to offenders? The Regional Psychiatric Centre in
Saskatoon, Saskatchewan is an accredited forensic mental health
facility. It is a part of the Correctional Services of Canada and is
affiliated with the University of Saskatchewan. The Centre provides
intensive inpatient assessment and treatment services in a secure
forensic environment for federal and provincial offenders. Operating
under a program management model, the treatment programs utilize an
interdisciplinary team approach in providing services to our patients.
The Centre also provides opportunities and support for forensic
research.The Regional Psychiatric Centre is currently recruiting an
Art Therapist. This process is intended to fill anticipated posistions
on a permanent +/or temporary basis to provide clinical services
within an interdisciplinary team to forensic mentally ill patients.
The following government organization is responsible for this
competitive process: Correctional Service of Canada
SALARY: $ 42,911- $55,696 plus $1,900 Penological Factor Allowance per
year.
Effective June 21, 2002 $43,984- $57,088 plus $1,900 Penological
Factor Allowance per year.
LANGUAGE: English
WHO CAN APPLY: Persons employed or residing in Canada and Canadian
citizens living abroad. All costs associated with assessment and/or
relocation will be the responsibility of the applicants.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: ·Work within an interdisciplinary treatment team
·Management of complex patients with multiple treatment needs
·Outstanding benefits for indeterminate staff including tuition
reimbursement for post-secondary education, free parking, medical and
dental plan and three-week paid annual vacation leave.
EDUCATION: Have a Masters Degree in Art Therapy. Preference will be
given to candidates who possess an undergraduate degree in Psychology,
Social Work or Education.
EXPERIENCE: ·Have experience in interviewing, and assessing individual
problems in a clinical setting.
·Have experience in providing therapeutic intervention with
individuals and groups.
·Have experience working in an interdisciplinary setting.
·Preference may be given to candidates who have experience working in
Psychiatric Rehabilitation.

Saskatoon (Saskatchewan) est un etablissement medico-legal de sante
mentale agree. Le Centre, qui est affilie a l'Universite de la
Saskatchewan, fait partie du Service correctionnel du Canada. On y
fournit des services intensifs d'evaluation et de traitement a des
delinquants sous responsabilite federale ou provinciale hospitalises
en milieu correctionnel. Ainsi, une equipe multidisciplinaire fournit
des services aux patients selon un modele de gestion de programmes de
traitements. Le Centre offre egalement des possibilites de recherche
dans le domaine medico-legal. Le Centre regional psychiatrique est a
la recherche d'un art-therapeute. On prevoit combler les postes de

de travail en readaptation psychiatrique.
