Does anyone know of a torrent for Tron Legacy (the actual movie, not the
trailers)?

I'm talking about a torrent that is the actual movie, not a file that
claims to be the movie but turns out to be 800+ mb file that is full of
$Padding$ ?

I don't even use torrents, not a whole lot of time when you're making the
DELI Sandwiches you know.

Geez, wait until an R5 shows up at least.

Why did you post this 3 times?

What's an "R5" ?

> Why did you post this 3 times?

There are times when this server (AIOE) acts up (sort of hangs) and
doesn't complete the posting transaction with my nntp client, which
gives me the indication that the post didn't happen. So I cancel the
post and try it again. Turns out in these cases the post was actually
made.

The AIOE server has iron-clad rules about not accepting the exact same
post more than once, but here we see that it was in a strange state and
did infact accept and post the exact same message more than once.

The movie companies make a quick-and-dirty one-light DVD from a clean
release print and its (mono) optical sound track. They distribute them
in DVD Region 5 (Russia, Africa, India) to beat the pirates to market.
The quality isn't as good as a full-blown DVD release, where the audio
is 5.1 and the image is nicely enhanced frame by frame.

It's generally a bit better quality than a camera copy.

There's plenty of room on this newsgroup for more posts.

Found one:

TRON Legacy 2010 TS XViD - IMAGiNE

I downloaded this last night. It's the real thing.

Resolution is 720 x 304, 24 FPS

1 hour, 58 minutes run time. Stereo sound.

1.43 gb AVI file.

There were about 25k people either downloading or seeding it at the
time.

Even though it's a gray area in Canadian law, you really should be a
little more discreet about your piracy.

You know that "TS" means "telesync" right? Means that the movie was
captured onto a video camera in a theatre somewhere. Now, these days,
video cameras are very sophisticated and cheap, and the pirates are
sophisticated too, they can pay off someone to get set up in the
projection booth with the audio plugged straight into the camera, so you
don't get wobblies or people walking past the screen or "Do you think
he's already dead?" on the track.

It's still a camera copy; a movie like TRON, you probably should've
waited for a DVD rip.

Off topica: when I was in Montreal, the worst part of going to a movie
was that there was _always_ a couple behind me, one of whom didn't speak
the language on the screen very well: "Qu'est-ce qu'il disait?" "Il veut
que Clemenza laisse le pistolet dans l'auto, mais qu'il prenne les
cannolis." "Un cannoli c'est quoi?" And so on.
