The producer of ‘The Tax Man Movie’ Ian Jamieson has been kind enough
to update me on the film’s progress.
‘The Tax Man’ is a feature film documentary and expected to be 120
minutes in length. The film will document first hand how Canada
Revenue Agency (CRA) often acts and the devastating results of these
actions have had on the lives of ordinary Canadians.
They recently finished filming in China and currently are finishing
up
in the Turks & Caicos Islands (“So nice to be in a place without
taxes”).
Within the next little while they plan to resume filming in Canada,
starting out West in Alberta and then working their way East through
Ontario, Quebec and Nova Scotia. From there they plan to travel to
Europe to film segments in the United Kingdom, Belgium and Italy
before they go to the Middle East and wrap things up in Dubai.
After Dubai the post production work begins.
They are hoping to have the film completed and ready for the upcoming
‘Festival Circuit’. The Cannes Film Festival, The Sundance Film
Festival and Toronto International are just some of the stops that
are
planned. After the Festival Circuit the film is expected to be in
theatres and a DVD version is planned for worldwide distribution.
