Want to Change the Canada Revenue Agency? Then Change Your MP! : CRA
SOTW

This past year, 2011, I heard more complaints about ineffective
Members of Parliament than in any previous year. And in each instance,
all the complainant was asking of their MP was a little help solving
an issue they had with the Canada Revenue Agency. Yet time and again
they were refused ANY help at all from their MP. They were just turned
away. In one instance the MP’s office would not even look at the
taxpayer’s problem instead they just told them to “get a tax lawyer”.

So let me ask you a question, what would you do if you owned your own
business and had an employee that just wasn’t getting the job done?

You would fire them. Period. Because that’s just what you do with an
employee that isn’t getting it done.

And while Canada isn’t exactly a business, still, MP’s are the
employees of Canadians. That’s right, believe it or not but your MP
works for you! Though many Canadians think it’s the other way around.

Now many Canadians may not know that Canada actually has a Taxpayer’s
Bill of Rights: http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/E/pub/tg/rc4417/rc4417-09b.pdf.
Yet despite these rights still there are some CRA employees who employ
overzealous tactics – tactics that actually defy the Taxpayer Bill of
Rights – in the course of their job.

Are our MP’s so scared of the Canada Revenue Agency that they’re
afraid to do their job? Well then maybe they should get another job.

That’s right, fire them.

Go into your MP’s offices in ones and twos and groups and tell them
that you’re sick of having your rights stomped on by the CRA and some
of their employees.

And that you want it to stop.

And if they can’t do the job then tell them you’ll find someone who
will. That’s right tell your MP that if you don’t see change for the
better by the time the next election rolls around that you’ll not only
vote against but that you’ll also tell others to vote against them
too! As well, tell them that you will actively campaign against them
to oust them from their posh jobs with perks galore.

At the very least you’ll find out what scares your MP more – the CRA
or unemployment.

And if nothing does change then do it. Vote the bums out.

Because the only way that Canadians will ever change the Canada
Revenue Agency is by changing their MP.

They're a lot of criminals who exist in a no-mans land outside Canadian
Law. The fact is that they don't need proof of cheating, just the accusation,
to own officers of the Government intended to control them. Remember
Radwansky? That was no exception.
