Joint Council for the Welfare of Immigrants Call Out
Calling all artists, illustrators, graphic designers and other creatives!
As part of our new campaign, calling for a radical step forward for migrants’ rights as we rebuild from covid, we are looking at how we can use art and creative projects to inspire change.
Event
Next Wednesday we are holding an event with 3 incredible artists and activists, who will talk about their work and how they can use it to tell new stories and inspire others. And we’ll be talking about how we as migrants’ rights campaigners can get creative
Weds 2 September, 4.30 – 6pm, everyone welcome. Info + sign up here: https://www.jcwi.org.uk/Event/resist-protest-imagine-art-for-a-new-deal-on-migration
Paid work
We are looking for illustrators / graphic designers / other visual artists to work on 3 briefs help launch our new campaign:
Plus we have a bonus ‘open’ pitch if people have other ideas that tie in with what we’re trying to do!
If you know anyone who might be interested, please send them our way! They don’t have to have taken on paid commissions in the past – what we’re looking for is creative, inspiring work and excitement about working on this project. People with first hand experience of the immigration system are especially welcome! https://www.jcwi.org.uk/new-deal-on-migration-creative-commission

We’d really appreciate if you can share these with anyone who might be interested,
