Creative Networking with Drawn In: Manchester illustrators meet-up

Hi Everyone,

Drawn In is hosting a special networking evening for creatives, exploring how connections shape a career with illustrator Dan Thompson.

After moving from Ireland to the UK, Dan had to build his creative network from scratch - something many illustrators and freelancers face.

Over the past 12+ years he’s gone on to work across branding, illustration and creative direction, and now leads creative work at Holdens Agency helping start-ups and global brands connect with audiences through bold ideas.

On the night he’ll share:

• How he built a creative network in a new city
• Why networking matters more than most creatives realise
• How small conversations lead to unexpected opportunities

Then we’ll put the ideas into practice.

Instead of awkward small talk, we’ll bring everyone together for a live portrait session at long tables, where you can draw, chat and meet other creatives in the room.

By the end of the evening, you’ll leave with:

✏️ A sketchbook full of new portraits
✏️ And possibly your next collaborator
