Manchester Futures is a 6 week programme providing bespoke support to young people 16-25 who are looking for work, in partnership with the Prince’s Trust. The programme includes an exciting 2 week Podcasting Boot Camp where you will learn how to develop and script a podcast, create relevant and interesting content, learn the ins and outs of audio production, social media and creative writing. You will also get experience of producing and presenting in a live radio show. You will be linking in with and creating podcasts for local employers and creative organisations who are currently recruiting for paid roles and will interview at the end of this process.
The following 4 weeks are bespoke and offer opportunities to access workshops and 1-1 support in: wellbeing, CV writing, applications, interview prep, work placements and other flexible support to fit around you.
In order to be eligible for the project you must be:
- 16 - 25
- unemployed or not in education
- have a MCR postcode
Taster session: Thursday 7th July 12:30 - 2:30pm
Project: Monday 11th - Friday 22nd July 10am - 4pm - weekdays only.
