Open mic Sunday 18th May Chorlton

Hi.

I am hosting an open mic with the theme "We're Still Here" at The Royal Oak in Chorlton (Barlow Moor Road on 86 bus route and 5 minutes from Chorlton Tram stop.

I have space for another poet and wondered if anyone on here would like to take part. The poetry doesn't all need to be on the theme, but I'm wondering if there's anyone who has work they'd like to share about their experiences coming to the UK and has at leas piece that would fit the theme?

It's supposed to be a celebration - what people have come through and are still hopeful, so we have older poets, neuro divergent poets, poets who have experienced discrimination etc.

It's also part of the festival and there's a lot on here that day if anyone wants to come take a look.
