Are you passionate about the power of the arts to spark change? Do you want to work with incredible artists and communities to create work that inspires, challenges, and connects?  If so, we’d love to hear from you.
Community Arts Northwest (CAN) is an award-winning UK leader in participatory arts, developing work inspired by the themes of migration and social change. For over 40 years, we’ve been creating space for diverse voices to be heard, celebrated, and seen. We work with communities, artists and partners to deliver bold, high-quality projects that transform lives and enrich Greater Manchester’s cultural landscape.
We’re now looking for a Creative Producer to join our talented team at our city-centre base in Manchester’s vibrant Northern Quarter. This role is a unique opportunity to shape and deliver groundbreaking creative projects across multiple art forms – from theatre and live performance to music, digital arts, and festivals.
In this role, you’ll:
  • Lead creative vision – designing and producing inclusive, culturally relevant, multi-disciplinary arts programmes.
  • Work with communities – collaborating with people from global majority backgrounds, refugees, and other underrepresented groups to co-create extraordinary art.
  • Drive projects from start to finish – managing timelines, budgets, partnerships, and ensuring the highest artistic quality.
  • Champion new voices – commissioning artists, building relationships, and creating opportunities for talent to shine.
  • Share stories that matter – working with our marketing lead to amplify the voices and creativity of the people we work with.
The details:
  • Salary: £24,000–£30,500 per year pro rata, depending on experience.
  • Contract: Part-time, four days per week (Monday – Thursday), with some evening and weekend work (as needed to deliver the programme).
  • Location: Manchester’s Northern Quarter + locations across Greater Manchester.
