Are you skilled in all things digital? Are you active in the digital world? Would you like to work somewhere interesting and creative where no two days are the same?
Manchester Art Gallery is looking for a dynamic person to lead and develop its digital offer both online and in the gallery spaces. Your work will connect with the broadest range of people – regular gallery visitors, and people we’ve yet to meet. We want to link communities and individuals with our exhibitions, collections, public programmes and commercial offer. Could you join us and use your skills and life experience to engage people in all aspects of gallery life?
This is a new role at the gallery. You will be a key member of the Gallery’s Leadership Team and will be instrumental in shaping the digital future of the gallery, assisted by a small team, external agencies and freelancers. Your aim will be to grow and widen interaction with Manchester Art Gallery, and with creativity across the city.
Our main strategic priority for the next five years is to deliver a capital programme across all three of our sites to re-think, re-organise and re-home our collections alongside the civic role of the gallery in relation to migration, climate emergency, work, identity politics and health and wellbeing.
Can you bring your digital skills and creativity to engage the public in this process?
If you require any adjustments to be able to engage in the recruitment process for this role, please let us know by emailing kate...@manchester.gov.uk
