Conducted by the renowned cultural psychiatrist Dr. Francis G. Lu, the media workshop of the APA Scientific Program will help psychiatrists 1) understand the two major cultural competence tools in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders - V (DSM-V) 2) Construct a DSM-V Outline for Cultural Formulation 3) Recognize the stigma of mental illness in Asian Americans and 4) identify the value and importance of the consumer movement for hope and recovery.
