-Reports from U.S Social Forum 10 minutes

Stood out with clipboards to talk to youth about CAN, got names and emails from about 50 students some that are active in coalitions others that are not but want to get active

-good discussion on the call fro immediate withdrawal

Workshop on how to build a students movement, people had questions on how to build an antiwar organization

-Outlook is good for building CAN and the youth movement, gathering participation in Days of Action and CAN national conference

-Endorsement of RNC Protest (CAN endorsement)

September of 2008, CAN UNAMOUSLY ENDORSED

-CAN Fund raising efforts 10 minutes

CAN will embark on a fund raising drive with the goal of raising 10,000 by October 1st. Money will help with National Conf. And things like College Not Combat the CAN newspaper.

Have a coordinated day of action this fall, not a controversial issue, but the content and what we would like the day of action to look like.

Resolution PASSED CAN WILL ORGNAIZE WEEK OF ACTION FROM SEPT 15-22

Troops out now, end the funding of the war, end campus complicity, no money for occupation.

Sept 15-22

-National Demonstrations: 5 minutes

-UFPJ: mass antiwar demonstrations in 6 to 8 cities around the country on Saturday, October 27th.

-Potential October week of action by SDS

-International Answer: Saturday, September 15 Washington, DC goal of one million

-Update on CAN Summer Retreat in Southern Wisconsin.-Five Minutes
