Is there a plan for a Camunda Modeler Plugin for Netbeans?

Hi Maik,

There are currently no plans to create a camunda modeler plugin for Netbeans.

See http://bpmn.io for a web-based modeling and viewing solution for bpmn diagrams (although the modeling side is currently under development).

It is a project we started together with Zalando to create an easily usable open-source web-based modeler / viewer.

I have tried to import a BPMN file created by the Camunda Modeler in NetBeans using the jBPMN plugin Modeler, but the result is empty.
In all cases, jBPMN seems old (last update in 2014) and doesn't provide Pool/Lane components (and I don't speak about DMN).
The only integrated solution seems to be Eclipse with the Camunda plugin :(

The new camunda modeler can also be integrated with eclipse in a way that when you double-click on a .bpmn file in eclipse it is opened in the camunda modeler.

Thanks for the quick answer.
But it doesn't solve my problem of integration in NetBeans.
It's still for Eclipse. :(

You can integrate external editors with Netbeans, too [1]. This way you could use the Camunda Modeler as your BPMN/DMN editing tool and use Netbeans for development.

As far as I know Netbeans has decent external file change notifications so that should work, too.

Yes, using an external editor, it works (using QuickOpener for example).
I didn't know that the Eclipse plugin is now deprecated and replaced by this external Modeler too. In this case, ok, all modifications must be done externally through it, regardless of the IDE used.
