Hi all,

the new tasklist app (starting from 7.2) is really great. Specially the filters concept.

major target users of tasklist app are business users. because of that business labels should be always used in the tasklist app. I see that when you create a new filter & want to define process variables to be displayed for end-users, you can put business label for each process variable which is the right implementation.

but for the sort functionality, business user should know the process variable name (programmatic name) to be able to sort by it.
I think sort functionality should be defined from the filter window (can simply implemented as check box beside each defined process variable. This way the business user will see the business name of the process variable which is checked to be available as a sort by attribute)

What do you think?

Thanks...

Hi Hassan,

I get your point, this is something we already discussed a bit here, but I cannot say "if" and then "when" it might be changed / implemented.

Your idea, with the checkbox, is interesting but might not be as simple as it first looks like.

There's still room for improvement and your feedback helps us. Thanks.

All the best,
Valentin

Hi Valentin....
Does that mean there is no way to reconsider implementing it in a way better understood by business users?
Thanks
