Hi All,
Last Saturday Dr Miguel Pinto and Paulo Pereira of the Clube de Astronomia do Alva organized a visit to the Sao Giao Radio Telescope.
The weather was good; no rain, but because of the non cleaned bad road, every body had to walk from Sao Giao.
Some people with disabilities were transported in the off road buggy by Paulo.
More than 30 people came to see the radio telescope; climbing into the dish and listening in the control room to explanations.
All the people were given a certificate and the children got a free beach ball.
As a bonus, there also was a question; why is the foil vane in the glass jar rotating.
These were the answers.
