4. Under your General account settings, you'll see a section for contact information, in which your primary email address is listed. Click on Edit next to your email address to expand the section.

7. You'll be asked to re-enter your current Facebook password to confirm the changes. Once you've completed this security step, Facebook will send you a verification email containing a link that you must click on to prove that it is a valid email address that you own.

7. On the next screen, Facebook will require you to enter your new email address and your password. Once you're done, tap on Add Email Address, and you'll be sent a confirmation email.

With the code, you can access your profile again. Facebook will take you to the Settings section right away, where you will be able to type in a new password. After you have followed these steps, you can proceed to change your primary email address by following the instructions we outlined above.

Of course, recovering your email password will slightly differ depending on your email type (Gmail, Hotmail, or Yahoo). You can recover it easily if you have your phone number or a recovery email linked to your primary email.

You can change the email address associated with your Zoom account from your user profile. When you're signed in, you can view which sign-in methods are set up on the Profile page, under the Sign In section. It is possible to have more than one sign-in method, as well as having some of those disabled by an admin for the entire account. There are five sign-in methods that you can use to access Zoom:

When you change the sign-in email for your Zoom account, you will receive confirmation emails at your old email address and new email address to verify the change. You must confirm in both emails to change your email address, otherwise your Zoom account will continue to use your original email address.

Don't worry - it's quick and painless! Just click below, and once you're logged in we'll bring you right back here and post your question. We'll remember what you've already typed in so you won't have to do it again.

I had my Spotify associated with a work email, but I've always logged in using Facebook. I changed jobs so I no longer have access to the email on file nor the password manager for the stored password. I can still log in through Facebook but I can't change my email or reset my password.

If you can still log in your account page, you should be able to change the email address associated with your account, so that you can reset your password and use your email and password combination to log in. This will only work if you had an email address listed on your account.

I bought an (Oculus) Quest 2 in 2020. Account name is @InedibleWhisper. I didn't want to link my actual Facebook account because this was around the time of Facebook privacy concerns, so I created an account under a fabricated alias. Fast forward to today. I haven't used the Quest in over a year (kids), so I turned it on and I'm logged out. I go to login and it says I have to log in with Facebook, but I forgot the password to that fake Facebook account. So I go to reset my Facebook password on the alias account (haven't logged into that since 2021 I think), and the account is locked. I can't verify my id to unlock the Facebook account it since it's not a real person, so no government ID will work. I've contacted Facebook security 7 different ways.

I tried logging into the Meta app on my phone using the email option, but it tells me I need to log in with my existing account to keep my VR appes and info and it shows the "Continue with Facebook" option. This brings me back to square one.

Is there anyway I can show proof (maybe through my credit card billing info with my real name tied to the fake account I used to log into the Quest) to unlock this, or have Meta unlock my account, or allow me to shift my login to my real email address/Facebook account and real name but keep my purchases?

Having trouble with a Facebook or Instagram account? The best place to go for help with those accounts is the Facebook Help Center or the Instagram Help Center. This community can't help with those accounts.

I use my phone number to log into Facebook and I recently realized I had an old email (hotmail lol) that I never use. I went to change my Facebook email to an email I actually use, but my Oculus email remains as the hotmail one. Facebook profile in settings shows my updated email as well.

Unfortunately I needed to update my email to reset my pin as I had forgotten it (honestly don't even remember setting it during the first time setting it up) so I'm in this weird purgatory.

Is there any process to update my email, using my linked Facebook account, without needing my pin? Or did I just get wrecked?

Can you still access your hotmail account? If so, there shouldn't be a problem. Just go to the security settings on your profile on Oculus.com, then Edit PIN and then forgot PIN. If you can't access hotmail (nothing wrong with hotmail, still use it lol), then you'll have to open a live chat with Oculus Support, or open a "Customer Support Ticket" (that's what they call it anyway). I copied the link for that to save you the hassle of looking - -us/requests/new

Hey there, Chadlysmith! Please feel free to reach out and submit a support ticket here or send us a PM be clicking here or on our name to get to our profile page, then click "Send a Message" to privately contact us. Please remember, you must be signed into the community first to send us a private message. An agent will be with you in no time to assist you with changing your email linked to your Oculus account. Hope this helped!

It can be very distressing to discover that your Facebook account has been hacked, and your data violated, but taking swift action and increasing awareness can help you regain control and protect your privacy. This blog post will explore what to do if your Facebook account was hacked and password changed: How to manage a hacked Facebook account recovery, how to report a compromised Facebook account, and what to do to prevent FB hacks from happening in the first place.

A hacked Facebook account may be the result of a Facebook scam. As one of the world's largest social media platforms, Facebook is a prime target for scammers seeking to exploit its vast user base. Facebook scams are continually evolving, but by staying informed and cautious, you can protect yourself from falling victim. Some of the most prevalent Facebook scams today include:

Phishing scams on Facebook often come in the form of messages or posts that appear to be from a trusted friend or company. These messages usually contain a link that directs you to a fake Facebook login page or a malicious website designed to steal your personal information, including login credentials and financial details.

Scammers often create fake giveaways or contests, promising valuable prizes like electronics, vacations, or money. To participate, users are asked to like, share, and comment on the post, or to provide personal information. These scams are designed to collect personal data or to spread malware.

In impersonation scams, scammers create fake profiles pretending to be someone you know or a public figure. They might send friend requests and, once accepted, ask for money, gift cards, or personal information, claiming to be in an emergency situation.

With the rise of cryptocurrency, scammers are increasingly promoting fake investment opportunities on Facebook. These scams promise high returns with little risk and often require an initial investment. Once the money is sent, the scammer disappears, and the victim loses their investment.

If you still have access to your account, log out from all devices immediately. This can be done by going to "Settings & Privacy" > "Settings" > "Security and Login" > "Where You're Logged In." From there, you can log out of all sessions.

Run a security scan on your computer and other devices with a next-generation endpoint security system like RAV Endpoint Protection that can detect malware or viruses that could have contributed to the hack.

Facebook offers several security features to help you maintain the integrity of your account. As well as following the action items mentioned above, if you believe your Facebook account has been hacked you need to report the issue to Facebook as soon as possible.

Recovering a hacked Facebook account takes a little bit of time and patience. As hackers utilize the Facebook recovery protocols to hack the account in the first place, companies like Meta have committed to setting up lengthy recovery processes in response. Nevertheless, if your Facebook account has been hacked, and the hacker has changed your password and linked email, it's crucial to take immediate action to regain control and secure your account by following the steps below:
