In a nutshell ...
DLT Registration (Distributed Ledger Technology)
To comply with the new regulation, all enterprises need to be registered with the DLT system.
Operators (Airtel, Bsnl, Jio, Vodafone etc) have already implemented the DLT system.
The first phase of the regulation focused on registering all Entity/Enterprise on the new platform.
Telemarketer - A partner who uses direct connectivity. Registered on the DLT as a TM for Delivery Function
Principle Entity (Institutes) - They can upload their Header (Sender ID), Template, and consent of existing customers and start SMS communication using the platform.
A one-time payment of Rupees 5,000 + GST needs to be paid to your first registered operator.
Entity/Enterprise registration includes details of KYC (Know Your Customer) documents like PAN, GST, TAN, CIN, etc.
The process has been designed for easy and quick completion.
Post submission, principal entuty will receive the Unique Entity ID that can be later used to register on the other portals / operators.
