You may want to check out the handouts and presentation from a webinar session FMC held back in July on market measurement:
www.farmersmarketcoalition.org/information-marketplace. There's a lot of useful stuff in the handouts (PDF) on various topics of measurement, including the summary of data from a vendor survey conducted by the
Neighborhood Farmers Market Alliance in Seattle. They already know sales data because their fee structure is percentage-based, and the farmer application is robust enough to collect a lot of farm characteristic data, so their survey questions are really geared toward feedback on management practices.
Eric, et al, it would be great if you submitted the surveys that you had devised into the FMC Resource Library to share with others in the FM community. We're doing some upgrades right now and by Monday the new submit form should be fully functional.
