Towards the presentation April 4th 2008

Hello Everybody,

Hope you are doing good.

I recorded a 12 minutes mp3 (tikirità tikirità tà tà.mp3) to explain you the process in which we are working; find it on the campus rom google groups (www.gmail.com, username: campusrom, password: romromabelgrade).

The final presentation will be a newspaper " The Roma Times" or "The Daily Roma"or.. will pick the title together

The newspaper will present the all process we are going through, and proposes it as a possible methodology, a guideline to approach in a different way to the vicious circle the Roma are stucked it.

The Process design (see 01.process design.pdf)

The following diagram is just an attempt to visualize all the process that we are going through - which is what we want to design, as a general goal, with the newspaper - and that includes our experience and the action plan that we still have to do.

This all "process design"is an attempt to establish and design a virtuous circle that starting from a "creative experience" is bringing us to an "action plan", and through an action, back to the experience.

A. our experience

how from this experience are starting to emerge new:

- subjects (like ourselfs as a cathaliser, the partecipant media lake giorgio e simona, etc..)

- relationships in between them (like learning from roma, cooperation, etc.)

those new subjects and relationships leads to the building of an:

B. emerging common critical vision

that is articulated in:

1. emerging common imaginary
starting from the questions we made ourselfs and the answer we gave with the A5.

2. Emerging common reading of the context
the mapping work and the critics on today's approaches

3. Emerging common memories
the diary of our experience itselfs.

please, provide for thursday the 27th your personal experience diary, a narration (txt photos video sketches..) trying not to loose any of your perceptions, feelings and thoughts on which you are building your individual action plans.

This common critical vision is what is coming from the experience we did.

Now we have to insert in this process the building of your action plans,

help yourself by using the schemes we provided you.

C. action plan

It will start from yours:
1. Goals   
those are the the specific targets and topics you already defined in rome (just as: public space, imaginary, igienic&clean, reuse, ....)

                   this has to  include:
- Scale     European, metropolitan, neighbourhood, settlement, enlarged family, house.

                       We propose you a tool, the scheme (02.exercise.pdf), to elaborate the relational system that your action plan requires. use it to exercise yourself in elaborating your own design process:

                        on the left you have main key issues. Choose which and how many key issues are related with your goal.

                        on the right you have all the subjects involved in a roma problematic. Choose which and how every subject has to involve in your specific action plan,
as an example we did the scheme (down on the left) as the visualization of today non collaborative relational diagram in the Roma in Rome decisional process. Create your personal legend of relational modalities to connect the subjects (as we proposed somes down on the right).

Emerging subjects

Out of the Campus Rom experience in Rome and Belgrade are emerging some interactive subjects

The emerging and partecipant collective observer, around Stalker – On, Urban Body Rome, that shared the all experience in Rome and Belgrade, but also the Belrgade University group and hopefully the Stockholm University.

The external professional but also partecipant observers group that is already narrating the story we're living by documentary , radio, newspaper, and images, including, Giorgio, the tv documentarist, Simona, the free lance photographer, Lanfranco, the radio journalis, Riccardo, the newspaper journalist

The external invited set of researchers and professionals that had speaches for us and that are following the project, like Marco Brazzoduro, Massimo Colombo from Michelucci Foundation, Paolo Ciani from S. Egidio Community, Barbara Galassi from UN habitat, Vladimir Macura.

The Roma rapresentative people involved in the project, for all of them the ones that are more involved, like Najo in Casilino, Meho in Castel Romano, Miriam in Monte Antenne and Aldo from the transient Calderash community.

The Roma people encountered in the different camps

A fifth fondamental reality is the istitutional one, in this world we did not penetrate much jet, beside with the quality relationship with the Elena Improta social affairs assessor from the II municipality (Monte Antenne)and the started relationship with the President of the V Municilapity (casilino 900), the istitutions are not jet enought engaged in this process.
