We have all been shocked and perturbed by the recent Delhi incident in
which a 23 year girl was brutally gang-raped, and it was so barbaric
that even after 10 days the girl is on life support. We already know
that media has gone frenzy, people are venting their anger at India
Gate, demanding death punishment, castration and what not...

One positive outcome is that Govt has shown an interest in modifying
the legal provisions to ensure speedier justice and enhanced
punishment in sexual assault cases, and has set up Justice Verma
Committee for that.

Interestingly, Verma Committee has asked for suggestions from public
in general, NGOs, Civil Society etc. Since most of us are having very
insightful ideas on it, why don't we documentize our opinion and make
a representation to the committee on behalf of MyShaurya and LYF?
