Mike,
Fours (4) ago when we were investigating the use of direct buried Pratt Groundhog butterfly valves in chilled water and hot water distribution service for UTMB – Galveston. The University of Texas A&M –Galveston has them in their chilled water and hot water distribution system. Joe Castillo, George Kaiser and I went to the local rep south of Houston, Texas near Hobby Air Port they have a good stock of Pratt Groundhog butterfly valves and accessories. Also, The City of Galveston, Texas have them in their city water system before IKE and have not problems with valve operation after IKE. The University of Texas A&M – Galveston have not had any problems with valve operation after IKE. There should be a report from Joe Castillo with OFPC and AEI recommendation to use the Pratt Groundhog butterfly valves in the chilled water and hot water distribution systems of UTMB- Galveston.
