For the University of Michigan for the last ten years, the following
are all annual piping network maintenance and repairs costs; metering
and meter reading; water treatment; TUNNEL and manhole maintenance
and repairs; permits; insulation or insulation renewal. Note that they
include domestic hot water and compressed air distribution costs also.

Costs are over total Mlbs of steam delivered to customer buildings to
calculate a $ per 1000 lbs of steam.

In addition, capital replacement or renewal have averaged $1.25 over
the same period but have included the "once every 100 year" cost of
replacing our ancient brick tunnels.

Use as you wish but please do not publish.
