The next meeting will be Tuesday 6th October, 2015, 7.30pm at RealVNC (http://goo.gl/maps/ktqpS). We normally stop about 9.30pm, and go on to the pub.

This will be a meeting to talk about at PyConUK 2015 (which Tibs and Ben and Ben were all at, for a start)

Meetings after that will be:
  • Tuesday 3rd November
  • Tuesday 1st December
  • Tuesday 5th January 2016

It is hoped that the 3rd November meeting will host Nicholas Tollervey giving a talk on MicroPython and the micro:bit, with some example devices and perhaps some peripherals. Those of you who watct the UK Python mailing list may have noticed him offering this. I'll announce more details when this is confirmed.

Please note that we are also now on meetup.com, at http://www.meetup.com/CamPUG/, and tweeting may occur at https://twitter.com/campython

Thanks to everyone who came to the meeting. There were 16 of us (Barry, Mittu, Diego, Ferrrucio, Tony, Stephan, Alex, Jan, Ewan, Gareth, Peter, Ben, Katie, Tom, James and myself). It was a little cramped in the meeting room, but I think it worked.

I may get a text version of the talk about PyConUK 2015 up at some time. Meanwhile, have some links:

- https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChA9XP_feY1-1oSy2L7acog/videos is the video channel on YouTube

- https://github.com/PyconUK/pyconuk.org/issues/209 is a list of links to blog posts, sprint reports and so on

- http://www.understandingrecruitment.co.uk/news/latest-news/abbie-goes-to-pyconuk appears to be another report - not sure if it's in that list

Thanks, as always, to RealVNC for the meeting space, and also for the pizza.

In future we will start at 7pm to allow time to eat pizza at more leisure.

Thanks to everyone for ideas for the future, and especially to Jan for pushing for a "doing stuff" meeting - as a consequence the December meeting will be a chance to play the Python Challenge cooperatively.
