Hope someone can help! There is a movie in my Save List, specifically Glass Onion, which is a Netflix movie. I want to delete that movie from my list, and there is no option to do so. I do understand that Netflix doesn't work with the Save List, which is the problem - the movie must have been in the My Feed queue before it changed over to Save List, and now it's stuck there. Just as you can't add a Netflix movie to your save list, you also, apparently, cannot delete a Netflix movie from the list.

I want to be very clear, before a rep responds, that I absolutely already know how to add and delete movies from my Save List the standard ways, and I do it all the time. However, the option to remove this particular item is just not there. But there must be some kind of recourse or workaround so it doesn't just remain stuck there forever.

So, any words of advice from the community? Anyone else had this issue and resolved it? If a rep can help, that would be great! (I also can't figure out how to contact Roku directly anymore, as used to be available.)

This issue is annoying me so much that I'd happily clear my entire Save List and re-add everything, just to get this one movie to disappear, lol. If that's an option, I also haven't figured out how to do that - how to clear the Save List (hopefully without doing a factory reset, which I'm not sure would even solve the problem).

Otherwise, search Google for "Roku telephone number" and look at the results just below the "People also ask" section. I tried to post one of the links (P***edConsumer.com), but my post got flagged and deleted.

For what it's worth, I managed to chat with a Roku representative, who was not able to help me at all. Like, AT ALL. Kept telling me to sign into Netflix and remove it from that list. Somehow I doubt that would help, because it's a separate list! Not to mention I am not even currently subscribed to Netflix - I don't even think it was in my Netflix queue, and I can't view it anyway, obviously. Regardless, there's another title stuck in my Roku Save list that has nothing to do with Netflix, and it too is stuck there.

OMG, I went in infuriating circles trying to explain this on the chat, and ended up basically being told there's nothing anyone can do about it. Not great, Roku. I'm pretty patient and understanding about most things, but ugh.

So the gist is, if there's a title which found its way onto your Save List in the past, and is currently either a Netflix title or not currently available to stream anywhere (aka "no providers found"), then you cannot delete it. And apparently Roku cannot or will not delete it for you. (Nor can you clear your entire Save List and start from scratch, apparently.) Seems like a system bug that needs to be fixed, and maybe I should report it that way, at least.

Again, that option doesn't exist on my app. I may have a different version of the app, I don't know, but it is not there - there are no dots at all when viewing the list as a whole, instead there's a box to check or uncheck on each title. I'll try to include some photos, to show what I'm seeing on my app:

Netflix does not provide an option to directly delete your login history. However, you can sign out of all devices currently logged in to your account by going to your Account settings, selecting "Sign out of all devices," and confirming the action. This will effectively clear your login history across all devices.

To remove a title from your "Continue Watching" row, navigate to the title, select the three-dot icon below it, choose "Remove from Row," and confirm your selection. This action will remove the selected title from your "Continue Watching" list across all devices, ensuring a cleaner and more personalized viewing.

Netflix uses your viewing history to make recommendations based on your interests. However, if you share your Netflix account with others or if you have watched content that is not reflective of your preferences, it can skew the recommendations you receive. By modifying your viewing history, you can ensure that the suggestions you receive are more accurate and aligned with your current preferences.

Netflix is one of the biggest and most popular streaming services in the world, known for hits shows like Stranger Things and The Witcher and original movies like Extraction, The Irishman, and many more. From time to time, though, Netflix removes content from its library--but why?

The answer is pretty simple. Netflix pays movie and TV studios to license their content around the world, and those deals aren't good forever. Netflix would presumably want to keep as much content available for as long as possible, but this isn't always possible due licensing arrangements. As such, some titles have to leave the Netflix library.

In a post on its website, Netflix explained that when a licensing contract for a film or TV show is coming up on its expiration date, the company considers a variety of elements. First off, Netflix needs to determine if the rights remain available. If they are available for extension, Netflix considers the popularity of a show, region-by-region, along with what a new licensing arrangement might cost.

These factors go into Netflix's overall formula for deciding whether or not to continue to license a show or let it go. There could be any number of additional factors that get put into the formula, too, that Netflix doesn't disclose. For example, Netflix has faced pressure to remove content that some viewers deem to be controversial, like Dave Chappelle's stand-up specials or the movie Cuties. Netflix did not remove those, but it's reasonable to assume Netflix would factor in the wider discussions and discourse about those programs and similar ones when it thinks about future programming.

In terms of the cost of a license, if a show is popular and in-demand, the licensor might ask Netflix to pay more to extend the deal. Netflix, then, has to determine if a new arrangement at a higher fee is worth their investment given what they could get back in terms of new subscribers or ad revenue.

Another element to consider here is Netflix's content libraries vary by region. If you've ever gone on vacation and booted up Netflix in another country, you might have noticed the content programming may be different. That's because Netflix makes licensing deals for content on a region-by-region basis.

There is also the competitive landscape to consider. Netflix originally had the rights to massively popular shows like The Office and Friends, but they left the Netflix library and joined the services run by their parent companies. The Office now streams on Peacock and Friends airs on HBO Max. Again, this pertains only to the United States.

When a show or a movie is due to leave Netflix, the programming's page will alert viewers of when it's getting pulled so they have enough time to watch before it goes away. If a TV series or movie is set to leave Netflix in the next month, Netflix will display a "Last day to watch on Netflix" message on the content's page at the top of the screen.

For Netflix's own content, its TV series and movies are usually available in all regions and generally do not get removed, though this isn't always the case. For example, Netflix's very first series, Lilyhammer, was removed from Netflix in the US in November.

It also bears mentioning that other streaming services, like HBO Max and Peacock, also regularly rotate content due to licensing agreements. The same is true for video game subscription services like Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus.

If you're familiar with using Netflix on your mobile device, you've probably noticed the dark "Download" button that sits right below "Play." Clicking that button starts a download of a local version of the movie or TV show you want.

You can download Netflix movies and TV shows on iPhone, iPad, Android and Amazon Fire devices, as well as computers with Windows 10 or 11 and some Chromebooks and Chromeboxes. Netflix downloads are set by default to only use Wi-Fi, though you can change that in your app settings.

TV shows can be downloaded individually by clicking the download icon next to each episode. On Android devices, you can download an entire season of a show by tapping the separate Download Season button next to the My List, Rate and Share links near the top of a movie or show listing.

Netflix allows you to keep a maximum of 100 downloads on as many devices as are included in your subscription plan. Each of the downloads has a different expiration date based on its content license -- some expire as early as 48 hours after you first start watching. Downloads can be renewed, but some have a limit on how many times per year. If a movie or show leaves the Netflix service, all downloads for it immediately expire.

You can delete individual movies and shows by unselecting the check box next to each title. You can remove all of your downloads by going into your App Settings and clicking "Delete all downloads" under Downloads.

A "Downloads" tab (called "My Downloads" on Windows) that sits at the bottom of the Netflix app shows you which downloads are in your library and lets you play them. It also lets you customize your download settings, such as Smart Downloads.

When turned on, Download Next Episode will automatically delete TV show episodes once you've watched them and then download the next episode in the season. It's a no-brainer for anyone who downloads TV shows, which is probably why the feature is turned on by default in Netflix apps.

Downloads for You expands the automatic downloading and deleting options for Netflix that are used in Download Next Episode. The feature is available in the iPhone, iPad and Android versions of the Netflix app, as well as some Chromebooks and Chromeboxes.
