Dear friend,
Letter Drop Campaign
WOW! We are still calculating the final numbers, but we are currently on target for a total of 237 letter drops around the country. That breaks our previous record of 225, set last month! Since the drops, our phone team has been diligently making between 5 and 10 calls into each of these offices and we are now cranking out the faxes as well. The Hill Team in DC will visit many of these offices next Wednesday and will return with a further report after that.
This month we called on our
Congress members to Cosponsor, Speak Out and Support, H.R.
1579: The Inclusive Prosperity Act, H.R. 676: The Expanded
and Improved Medicare For All Act and H.R. 1000: The
Humphrey-Hawkins 21st Century Full Employment and Training
Act. We also had “Street Heat” actions in six states in
support of this legislation.
View this month's letter that was delivered to Congressional
and DC offices here and read the digest of these
drops here. View photos from "the week that
was" here,
We also had 41 letter drops in support of the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) and seven
planned next week in New York.
Issue Teams:
Great call this week with the Healthcare Human Rights team
and their incredible line up of special guests: Dave

Public Citizen, who discussed the recent report: A Road Map
To “Single Payer”: How States can Escape the Clutches of the
Private Health Insurance System; Sue Saltmarsh,
founder of Drive for Universal Healthcare (DUH!), who
discussed the Autumn route and how to engage locally or via
the internet; and Terry Sterrenberg, Producer of The
Healthcare Movie, who discussed the movie and updates.
Listen to the call here.
