to Camp Sussex Alumni

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer. I coached a swim team in
Valley Stream that took second place in the Champions. I work with a
number of these kids during the winter season at Hewlett High School
where we run a Club and of course the high school team.

Unfortunately, it appears that Sussex is in a holding pattern. The
WEB page has not been updated in a very long time. I did email
Brandon a couple of three months ago and he indicated that something
was in the works but would take a couple of more months until it was
announced. This appears to be the standard operating procedure.

I was thinking about doing a 'drive-by'. Too bad Herby wouldn't be
there pointing the business end of a shotgun at me. But I have a
feeling, that after two years of vacancy, the facility must be in
awful shape. It would break my heart to see that.

Perhaps Allen Collins and Ronnie Vanzant (Lynyrd Skynyrd) said it best
in "All I Can Do Is Write About It"

'And lord I cant make any changes
All I can do is write em in a song
I can see the concrete slowly creepin
Lord take me and mine before that comes'
