Here are some recent pertinent updates from the many many wonderful messages posted for Eden and her husband Cory on a Facebook group called "I love Eden & Cory Banks":
-Update- Eden's temp is up as is her heart rate, which means no weaning today. But, all the positivity I just read from the fb posts may help. (7-29)
-Update-Ede n's sedation was reduced today. She responded multiple times to Cory and Tina's prompts. It was great to be able to spend more time in her room without fearing we are disturbing her rest. We are waiting for the sedation drugs to leave her system and for the lung inflammati on to reduce. Fingers crossed for positive developmen ts. (7-28 evening)
- Cory, Laurie from the firm will be contacting you soon. The firm would like to continue to pay for your hotel stay. You need not worry about it. Talk to you soon. (7-28 morning)
-Update-Ede n had a good sedation vacation this morning. She opened her eyes many times to see her Cory. Cory is feeling really good today about events that may be on the horizon. Eden has been taken off of Ativan, one of the drugs that contribute s to her sedation. We continue to hold hope that all the numbers will be just right to start the weaning process soon. (7-28 morning)
-U can also email via paypal crcberb@gm
ail.com (7-27 evevning)
This last update was in response to an inquiry as to how to send money to contribute to Cory's stay at a nearby Hyatt which it seems Caribou's lawfirm later offered to pay for in a message above)

Hi gang,
Long weekend coming up here in Ontario and although I should stay home and
prepare this house for a child, I'm running away to the cottage. Sweet!!
Just curious if there is any update on Caribou. I've been thinking about
her.
Thanks, and happy Friday!

Hi everyone,
Thank you so so much for those that keep us non-FBers in the loop. I just
can't believe the news about Caribou. Things seemed to be looking up. Man,
she's got a lot of pizzazz for this world. Please let us know if any other
updates come out.
As for the rest of you - wow, so much crazy news, and a lot of good news.
Bama - you crack me up. Based on the pics, she looks fun and worth giving up
bees for!! Milk - you crack me up too. You're not so old - and besides
you're pretty cool and I hope I can be as cool as mom as you. Congrats to
Psyche. Kale - I could use some gardening advise. Damn Colorado potato
beetle!! Sprouts - totally want to hear what's up with you. Foodie - I have
another camper on caringbridge so I'll definitely look you up. Infamous
guides - any good mountainside stories? Clover - you da poo! Thanks for the
updates.
As for me, I'm down to less than two weeks. The first four months sucked
beyond sucked, but I really can't complain now. I still go to rugby and run
around with the girls (non-contact!), still play squash, and weed the
garden. With the ridiculous heat though, I start the weeding at 6:30 and
then head in when the sun pokes its head. The kid still doesn't have a room
though so it's time to step up and crack down. Still several more days of
work unfortunately. I worry a little because this thing only goes knutz when
no one is looking and is calm as can be when others try to look and touch.
I'm in for a rough ride if that continues once it decides to join the world.
Keep the updates coming. I just pulled out our Storm the Castle picture and
put it on the fridge. Always makes me smile.
Take care y'all, and keep smiling,
Slash

Hi gang,
This is the latest update on Caribou, from last night:
Eden's sedation was reduced today. She responded multiple times to Cory and
Tina's prompts. It was great to be able to spend more time in her room
without fearing we are disturbing her rest. We are waiting for the sedation
drugs to leave her system and for the lung inflammation to reduce. Fingers
crossed for positive developments. She has been making slow improvement and
gets what they call a "sedation vacation" each day, where she has been
responding well, even opening her eyes yesterday to see Cory.
Thanks everyone, hope you are well.
