Marisa Muscarella, 36 years old, joined her papa' and the Lord on April 2nd, 2012 after a very brave battle with cancer. She will be greatly missed by her surviving mother, Louise Muscarella, her sister, Michelle Ulrich, husband Charles Gannon Ulrich and her beloved nephews Giovanni and Charles Ulrich, her maternal and paternal grandmothers, and a big family of loving relatives and friends.
She was a 1994 graduate of Jamestown High School where she graduated salutatorian of her class. She was among the top winners of the Lakewood Junior Miss Pageant and was also involved in multiple extra curricular activities. She graduated from Grove City College and received her masters in social work from the University of Pittsburgh. She worked for Pittsburgh Public Schools. She was also enrolled in a second masters in the Food Studies program at Chatham University where her passion for the program was an inspiration to all who knew and loved her.
Above all else, Marisa loved God, family, and friends. She was a very strong and positive woman who enjoyed life to the fullest, even rock climbing while defying cancer. She was especially proud of her heritage and her two little nephews. She loved Sadie, her companion dog, very much too. One of her greatest joys was interacting with Gianni and being an aunt. She was a volunteer with food programs for children and adults, in childrens ministries at ACAC church. She was also cancer therapy for others and always ready to share her testimony with others who were struggling as well. She will always be remembered for her zest for life and positive spirit.
Friends and family are invited to join us at Holy Apostles Church on Newton Ave, Jamestown, NY for a mass of Christian burial. Please no flowers. Charity donations can be made to

You guys are all so sweet. I can't believe this. Foodie had quite a
spirit and enthusiasm that we can all remember.
As we lose another one, I would really love to hear how everyone is
doing in their own lives.
Clover and Sprouts - I can't remember if I told you that I had my
first "own" Christmas tree this year and I proudly put up my climbing
girl and thought of you fondly.
Take care everyone and keep smiling.

Also, I got married in March...not my first wedding, but did it the
way I wanted to! Cancer taught me to live w/ no regrets so it was not
a huge affair, but did the dressed up thing in the Outer Banks and it
was perfect for us. Miss you all so much - especially every time we
get bad news :( - like Clover, I just want to huddle up and get lots
of hugs and FD Love when we face these sorts of things. Feels like
our group has been hit hard over the last year....
Love to you all,
MILF
I think now is the perfect time for some good news ladies...
Congrats to Bama's impending daddyhood and Milf's wedding - WOOT!
Slash - I can't tell you how excited Sprouts & I were when we found your ornament, it had your name ALL over it! :)
As for me, I've signed up to train to run a 5k - ugh. I'm enjoying the heck out of it and look forward to each training session, however, I hate chemo and what it's done to my body - all of you know what I mean.
There is an FD climbing event coming to Knoxville, Tennessee @ River Sports on 4-28-12 from 9:00-1:00 if anyone wants to swing my way - wink, wink, nod, nod ;-)
Our group HAS been hit hard since camp. That is one thing I was totally not prepared for. We went to camp, met some awesome people, made lots of new friends, and then cancer greedily starts snatching them up? That wasn't in the FD brochure was it? Wishing I would have hugged Shotgun, Fluff, and Foodie extra hard...
Here's to healthy days!
Hugs,
Clover
