Everyone else, check in - how are you, good news welcome, bad news not
welcome, but ok to report b/c we can give a little electronic FD love
to each other.
Foodie - I've been making lots of basil limeade this summer. Have you
tried that? So good! Any trips to Duke where we can connect in
person?
Sprouts - How did you fair from your surgery?
Slash, is the FD baby almost here??? photos of the big belly and baby
are mandatory ASAP!
Clover - good job on the commercial, she's a "tee vee" star now!
Kale - love, love, love the 3 generation trip w/ your mom and your
daughter. Amazing idea and loved following along on FB/your blog.
Alabama - how's the new job?
Again - love hearing from you...wish I could win the lotto and come
out for a set of CMS guided trips w/ you guys. I think about you
guides often.
I know I didn't cover everyone, but menopause brain prevents me from
remembering what's up w/ everyone to call you out so check-in, again,
since I can't remember shit!
For those not on FB, Shotgun's husband continues to post on her blog,
some really moving stuff and photos about some of her last weeks. Not
depressing, but loving and moving.
I'm feeling old which in the cancer-world is good...my son is going to
be a senior this year and my 20th High School Reunion is Labor Day
weekend. Trying to resist the urge to max out my credit card on
Botox! I did tell myself during cancer, that I was more than my boobs
and hair but for some reason the elixir of Botox advertisements gets
me every time I pick up a magazine and think about the reunion!
Summertime is the best time to live by the beach so I've been enjoying
that just about every weekend.
When clients are bitching at me about how shitty their lives are
during divorce, or how they other person is out to get them...I just
say stuff like "uh-huh" and "I understand" while I'm standing up at my
desk looking at the pics of us on that heart-rock and on top of the
Castle Rock...I savor to those memories of us together!
Love, MILF
I got married in January. We decided to act like kids and run off to
vegas. It was a blast. (here are way too many photos to look at)

2 days later I started a job at AOL Ventures. I run around meeting
with people and every once in while I write them a check. It's been
a crazy 6 months learning the ropes (had to do it...).
Finally I've been indoor climbing about 2-3 times a week since camp.
My wife and I love it. Can't wait to make it back to colorado and
take on those mountains.
Let me know if anyone makes it out this way. Miss you all....

Howdy FD53,
Good afternoon guys! So great to hear from each of you. I love getting updates. Makes me feel closer to each of you, now if I could just have some of Antelope Jamboree's scrumptious food. Mmmmmmm.....
My update is this:
My family and I just got back from Alaska last month and I'm already wishing I were there again. If you've never been to Alaska I highly suggest you put it on your 'bucket list'.
Healthwise I've been blessed with now going for check-ups every 3 months instead of every month. There is, however, a spot on my left lung that they continue to watch.
Having said that, I came home last night to a message from my doctor's office asking me to call them. (getting a message from your oncologist's office after hours and not being able to call them back is completely unnerving by the way) ANYWAY, I called this morning only to find out that my grand ole oncologist's alarm went off once he read my x-ray results. Apparently the 'spot' read differently this time and they need to check it out again.
Needless to say it's back to the drawing board and a PET scan has been scheduled for the 26th.
All of this has me a weeee bit anxious. No shocker there. Once you've been diagnosed with cancer and been drug through the coals of treatment phone calls like this will drive a person insane. I can feel the slight tightness in my chest just waiting on next Tuesday to get here.
Aside from all this life has been seemingly 'normal' this summer. I'm heading to Damascus, VA the 29th to participate in the Creeper Trail Ride to End Cancer. I did help out by filming a PSA for the event which was a bit awkward but hope it helps bring the support they need. If you're curious about the event, check out www.creepertrailridetoendcancer.com.
I'm responding from work so I know this sounds a little scattered - sorry. In my young survivors support group there is a girl who has signed up with FD to go rock climbing in Estes Park. I'm not quite sure who's more excited me or her! LOL
Hugs to each of you,
Clover :-)

REALLY bummed right now - my string just broke! :-(
At the campfire on our last night Gaston tied on - remember the guy swinging from the rocks taking our pictures? Now I'm wondering if this means that I need to go to another camp to get another string? lol
Miss you guys SO stinkin' much...
