I read this on CaringBridge this morning and am stunned... Clover
Marisa's Home Going
To all of my sister's wonderful, amazing, thoughtful, and dedicated friends:
Marisa went to be with our papa' and the Lord today at 4:45 AM. She fought such a courageous battle and words cannot express how proud I am of my big sister. As you already know, her passion and zest for life poured out of every ounce of her being. It was extremely difficult to see her stripped of that in the last few weeks. Even though she was not doing well the past few weeks, my mom and I are shocked at her sudden death. She was admitted to the ER last night because of progressing issues over the last few weeks that have led to her being extremely weak and dehydrated. The scan that she had last night was reported to show no change from the last one. So, again, we are confused as to why this happened the way it did.  All we know is that the Lord was ready to take her last night.

I just want everyone to know how grateful my mom and I are for the wonderful friendship you have given Marisa, you are ALL angels! I will post the obituary with funeral information soon. Please keep our family in your prayers.
I love you all,
Michelle Ulrich

Yes, sweet, sweet Foodie....

I've been keeping up with her on CaringBridge and knew she had been having some issues but her posts always sounded so upbeat (typical Foodie, huh?). I sent her a card last week so I'm hoping she received it and it made her smile...

At a loss.  I save all of these emails back and forth and take out amazing quotes from you all.  Foodie has the most, her words always stick with me.  I have one hung up in my office. "Try to have peace in knowing who you are, not what cancer is..."

Good afternoon,
On June 22nd I am flying out to Seattle to run with the First Decents Team at the Hard ROck Rock and Roll half marathon.  I''ll see you there Spike!  Then on the 24th I will be driving down the west cost see some sites.  I'm not sure who is out there now?  But know some of you are in San Fran area, and I'll be all the way down to San Deagio by the end.  So if anyone is interested in catching up for a few drinks, dinner, coffee, whatever.
