Hi Campers!
Here we are, Friday before the last weekend of pre-playa prep!
We are having a work weekend here on Humboldt Street, so if anyone has time to come join in the fun please let me know. It is a HUGE logistical task to bring our camp to BRC every year and each member of our camp is needed and appreciated for helping to make it happen.
A couple of reminders:
Please bring a couple handles of booze for the bar, and a couple of mixers.
Please bring a couple of extra gallons of water to contribute to the vodka drinks we have pre-maid behind the bar, as those are big sellers.
Please remember to bring garbage bags/cans for your personal camp area, and leave room to haul garbage/recycling out when you leave. The bar garbage/recycling cans are not for our personal use.
We will have a camp shower, and will be giving instructions for use. You will each be responsible for your own water for the shower and also for your grey water removal/evap. We will be bringing black cement trays to catch our personal grey water and then we put them out in the sun to evap. This has worked well in the past, and you will want to have a similar set up if you plan to use the shower. If there's any leftover water at the end we've been pumping it out and taking it with us (there's usually not, but you should be prepared).
Everyone will need to do a big ice run for camp at least once during the event. By the time you arrive we'll have a good idea of how much ice is involved, but make sure to bring some cash for this.
We will be having a camp meeting probably Wednesday when everyone is en playa to go over the ice run schedule and to talk about tear down on Saturday.
